About Dr. Dasgupta

Dr. Riju Dasgupta specializes in Interventional Pain Medicine at our Fairfax and Reston locations. Originally from Columbus, OH, Dr. Dasgupta completed his medical training at Northeast Ohio Medical University with a subsequent specialization in anesthesia at the University of Virginia. Then, he further completed his pain fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.

As a physician, Dr. Dasgupta believes an interventional approach can provide patients with longer-term and sustainable pain relief. He focuses on educating patients on why they may have chronic pain and then formulating a detailed plan based on this information. Dr. Dasgupta also believes in a collaborative approach to treatment with his patients. He is interested in advanced pain procedures, such as spinal cord stimulation and other interventional spine and peripheral joint procedures.

He is looking forward to reducing pain and restoring the quality of life for patients in the Fairfax and Reston areas.
